Welcome to Home Farm in Chilthorne Domer, South Somerset, a venue that can host weddings and events - from parties, ceremonies, lunches and dinners to balls, wakes meetings and even a cinema. And if you want to stay over, or set up base here during your occasion, Home Farm also has accommodation options.
Home Farm is also home of the charity School in a Bag and its 3-day music festival Home Farm Fest.
About Us
Owned by Celia, Henry and Luke, Home Farm has been in the Simon family for six generations. Originally a farm that employed villagers in Chilthorne Domer, the buildings and outdoor areas have now been converted in to event spaces comprised of:
- The Cider Barn and Yard
- The Cider Barn Garden
- The Wagon House (including The Dutch Barn Bar)
- The Paddock (including The Dutch Barn Stage)
- Home Farm Gardens and Fields

“We used The Cider Barn and Cider Barn Garden for our small intimate wedding . The Barn worked perfectly, first for a formal sit down lunch for 30 people and then as a party venue complete with DJ for 60. The Kitchen space was ample for our bar set up and the Cider Barn Garden was beautiful for alfresco seating where the sun shone for us. The spaces were easy to decorate and the Simon family made the barn available to us whenever we needed to measure. It was perfect!”

“Home Farm is home for the annual Fairmead Prom. We use the two barns and both open spaces to provide attractions and activities for our graduating students. The venue is perfect in size, beautiful in appearance and perhaps most importantly, safe and easy for the Yr 11s. As a creative staff, we love transforming the barns in to a new theme each year and the venue lends itself so well to our needs.”
